Welcome to our simple cottage on the beach of Bolmen! The view of the lake from the family room, kitchen and the terrace is fantastic.
Our philosophy is to recycle materials and furniture to get a practical interior. Swedish nature is right outside (and sometimes inside) the door of wild animals, large and small. The landscaped garden is small, most of it is natural. This is the place where you find peace and quiet. In the cottage there is a fireplace which gives a cozy feeling. Of course, there is dry wood to pick up in the woodshed.
The kitchen has everything that may be needed for a comfortable holiday. The bathroom has a toilet, shower and washing machine. The property has individual water and drains. There is an automatic water pump in the house and the hot water is heated by a hot water heater. The hot water suffices for a shower of about 20 minutes then it needs about 30 minutes to heat new water. Wireless internet (wifi) is included in the rent.
The main bedroom is in the main cottage, further bedrooms are in the guest cottage and in the attic. To reach the guest cottage and attic, you need to exit the main cottage.
Fishing licenses can be purchased online or at Bolmen's campsite, about 5 km from the cottage. There is also the possibility to rent a canoe. A rowing boat is included in the rent. A second boat is available to rent separately. Life jackets are available in several sizes and are included in the rent.
Within 5 minutes walk you reach the Bolmenmarschen hiking trail. But it is just as good to just go straight into the forest and look around. Ljungby is the nearest town, about 20 km from the cottage, where there is the service needed such as. grocery stores, restaurants, tourist information, hospitals and veterinarians. In the vicinity of Ljungby there are several different excursion destinations, flea markets and more.
The immediate area is sparsely populated. In direct proximity to the cottage are three cottages. The closest full-year residents is about 300 m from the cottage. It is private road to the house. There is the possibility to park two cars on the lot. Bolmen has clean water that is well suited for swimming and fishing. The bay where we usually swim is shallow with sandy bottom.
There is a small playhouse and swing stand on the plot for the little ones.

Es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt im Ferienhaus am Bolmen. Zwei Wochen waren wir dort und haben auch die Umgebung erkundet. Es war schön ruhig und das Haus hat eine sehr gute Ausstattung. Gerne wieder. Vielen Dank an die Gastgeber.

Jenny and Stefan are very nice, courteous owners of the vacation home.
Both arrival and departure went without a hitch. The location of the vacation home as well as the facilities and the surroundings are fantastic. The view of the Bolmen was wonderful and the boat was great for fishing. We felt incredibly comfortable and would love to come again!
