The holiday home is located in the countryside, on the sunny south-west coast of Madeira at an altitude of 250 metres, on the cliffs west of Ponta do Sol. The house is quietly situated in a cul-de-sac.quietly situated wooden house directly on the coast of Madeira, ideal starting point to experience the beauties of the island and its inhabitants
The ground floor holiday home is made entirely of wood and double-walled insulated against heat and cold. The bedroom has two single beds next to each other and mosquito nets. There is a wardrobe and storage space for suitcases in the corridor. The bathroom has a shower and WC. In the large, bright living room with panoramic window there is a tea corner with a small stereo system (CD, MP3, radio) and a dining table with chairs. The panoramic window front brings light into the large living room. The well-equipped kitchenette has kitchen cupboards, a sink, an electric cooker with ceramic hob, a fridge with freezer compartment, a coffee machine, a water heater and a toaster. Cookware and crockery, cutlery and glasses are provided, as are tea towels. Bed linen and towels are also provided.
In front of the door you will find the veranda and a beautiful garden, each with garden furniture, parasol and a good barbecue (firewood is provided). There is a private car park for your hire car next to the wooden house, separated from the road. The property is enclosed and partially fenced. The view from the house and garden is unobstructed out to the blue sea.
The rustic wooden house is ideal for holidays close to nature. A mobile radiator is available in the colder seasons.
The surrounding fields are cultivated by elderly farmers or are abandoned. During the day, falcons and seagulls fly over the land, at night crickets chirp and owls hoot. At night, you can marvel at the magnificent starry sky. The beach is just under half an hour's walk down a romantic but strenuous flight of steps. It takes about seven minutes by car. Ponta do Sol is an idyllic little village with numerous restaurants and two supermarkets. There are also petrol stations, banks, a pharmacy and a bakery. The village can be reached on foot in half an hour or ten minutes by car. The nearest two restaurants can be reached within a seven-minute drive. A small mini-mercado is one kilometre away. Every day, itinerant traders (bread, meat, fish, fruit and vegetables) drive up to the wooden house. Eggs from free-range hens are delivered to the kitchen by the landlord.
