Marta's recommendation!



My colleague Marta suggested this villa, located in Calle Carabeo, in the centre of Nerja. She bet that it would be a very sought after villa. In her opinion, clients wouldn't mind paying a bit more. But I had my doubts... the villa was not cheap, although the interior is of a good standard. Finally we managed to bring the price down a bit and it came out...







Situation and exteriors



And our clients love the house! If your holidays are short, then think of the precious time you can save without having to drive to the beach, restaurants, supermarket.... From this house, restaurants are within walking distance and the beach is only 200 metres away. However, if you want to bring your own car, there is no problem, as there is a private parking outside! No traffic noise? No, there is no traffic noise, as the Carabeo street is pedestrianised and only allows cars for those who have a parking space there. Let me tell you a little more about this charming villa. On the ground floor you have large windows opening onto a splendid terrace with a private pool of 4m x 6m and fantastic views. As soon as you look down from there, you will see the Carabeillo beach, which is situated between the famous Burriana beach and Carabeo beach. You can imagine that the terrace is a favourite place for outdoor dining - and for this reason we have equipped it with a barbecue. Now please look at the second photo, on the top floor, see the private terrace and balcony? They are accessible from 2 bedrooms - imagine waking up in the morning and being able to walk out with these views! You'll have to roll the dice to determine who gets the third bedroom, as it doesn't have a terrace (sorry!). Well, now for the interior where we have a surprise...










Notes

* The Nerja Town Hall intends to cut off Calle Carabeo with a bollard. At the moment we do not know if this street will be passable for the residents who have a parking space there, as there is a lack of information from the Town Hall. We will try to get the Town Hall to facilitate access, but it is still too early to tell. In the event that access to the car park is not possible, the property cannot be held responsible. As an option, you have the possibility to park your car in the public car park "Parking Carabeo", a very large space just behind Calle Carabeo, 3 minutes walking distance. There is a special price for 7 days (please ask us for approximate prices).







* During the second week of October and lasting approximately 4-5 days, the Nerja Fair takes place. The fairground in the centre of Nerja is filled with stalls where women and men dress up in traditional flamenco costume, ride horses, dance sevillanas, drink sherry or manzanilla wine and eat tapas. So, this is an attractive event, but it also has its consequences which may not be so attractive: The private car park next to the house will not be available from a few days before the event as Calle Carabeo is closed to traffic. If you bring a car, you can try to find parking nearby or we can offer you a free parking space in the Marina Turquesa flats (1,5 km from the house). On the other hand, it is possible that you may be disturbed by the noise of the fair (music, etc.). We estimate that this will not affect you to a great extent as the house is at a prudent distance from the area, but we are not in a position to guarantee it.










When Marta showed me the house, I found a surprise that I did not like. Yes, you read that right, I said NO. The electric blinds were closed and it was very dark inside. We tried to turn on the lights and they didn't work, it turns out that the house has several switches that don't connect to any lights! But once we had the lights on and the blinds open... I was impressed.



The first door I opened, at the entrance, was a toilet with dark marble tiles, very chic. This elegance is also evident in the rest of the house where you will find spacious and stylishly decorated rooms. The living room is divided into 3 parts and has satellite TV and a very nice corner with a fireplace. There is a semi-independent dining room which connects to the luxury kitchen. It has everything: ceramic hob, oven, contact grill, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The 3 bedrooms are upstairs, each with an ensuite bathroom. One of them has a double bed, the others 2 single beds each. And yes, Marta won the bet!










Notes

- There is WiFi internet connection (free).



- There is air conditioning in the living room / kitchen and in 2 bedrooms (the double bedroom and the twin bedroom). The third bedroom is cooler as it does not get the afternoon sun.
