Rustico della Quiete "House of Tranquillity" is situated in a peaceful location above the mountain village of Montemezzo, above Gera Lario, in the north of Lake Como, on the edge of a woodland.
The newly renovated stone house is set on a hillside, surrounded by a spacious terraced garden with shady trees and fantastic views over Lake Como.
From the road, the house is reached via a footpath with a short steep section.
To the side of the house is a large terrace with sun loungers, a dining table and a parasol.
Above the house is the large garden with plenty of space to relax and play.
The master bedroom also has a small balcony with seating, perfect for enjoying a coffee or a glass of wine. From the side terrace, you enter the house into the living area with a kitchenette, dining table, sofa bed, armchair and satellite TV. On the mountain side, there is a bathroom with shower, washbasin, WC, bidet and a washing machine. The two windows in the living area offer wonderful lake and mountain views. A spiral staircase leads upstairs to the bedrooms.
On the lake side is the master bedroom with a double bed and a small balcony overlooking the lake, as well as the second double bedroom, also with lake views.
On the mountain side is the bedroom with a single bed, together with a bathroom with shower, washbasin, WC and bidet. The natural stone house has been lovingly renovated by the owner with great taste and style, using plenty of wood and traditional Rustico materials, which are beautifully reflected throughout the interior. The house is idyllically situated on the hillside and can be reached from the parking area via a short footpath.
Inside, a steep staircase connects the floors.
For this reason, special care is required for families with young children.
The house is not recommended for guests with reduced mobility. Enjoy the peace and quiet, the unspoilt nature and the magnificent panoramic views! The location is ideal for mountain biking and hiking tours, which start directly from the doorstep.
Gera Lario, approximately a 10-minute drive away, is a paradise for water sports enthusiasts.
Whether surfing, kitesurfing, sailing, canoeing or stand-up paddleboarding along the River Mera, active holidaymakers will find plenty to enjoy. Below the house, approximately 50 metres away, there is a garage as well as additional public parking spaces along the road.
For loading, unloading and short stays, parking is possible directly at the house. The garage offers space for bicycles and sports equipment. Montemezzo is the ideal starting point for an active holiday at the northern end of Lake Como.
The nearby flat beaches along the River Mera and in Gera Lario are perfect for swimming and relaxing and offer numerous leisure facilities, including children's playgrounds, boat hire, windsurfing and sailing schools, as well as tennis courts.
At the same time, the area around Montemezzo offers a variety of hiking and mountain biking trails through the impressive mountain landscape and to spectacular viewpoints overlooking Lake Como.
