By following these steps, you can quickly and easily verify your data with Holidu. This article will guide you through the account verification process step by step as a private host. We've also included video explanations and a link to a full PDF guide with screenshots at the bottom of this page.
Important: This process can only be completed by the host (primary account holder in Holidu).
Preparation: Gather Your Documents
Before you begin, make sure you have these documents ready. Please note that Adyen does not accept scanned documents. Only clear photos or the official digital download of the original document will be accepted.
- Official identification (passport, driving licence, or national ID)
- Proof of bank account ownership (e.g., a bank statement or deposit slip)
- If you're a freelancer, sole trader, or sole proprietor, you'll need your registration number

Step 1: Start Verification
- Go to the Account tab in your Holidu account
- Click on Validate to begin the process
- You may be asked to sign a new agreement — simply accept to continue. (Don't worry, this won't change your pricing.)
Step 2: Verify Your Personal Information
- Click on Personal Details
- Double-check the information that's pre-filled based on your Holidu account. If something needs editing, click Edit. Add any missing information or update anything that might be wrongly configured within your pre-filled Holidu account. Then click on Next
- At the bottom, select whether your bank account is in your name or registered under your sole proprietorship (freelancer, sole trader, etc.)
- If applicable, provide your registration number and address
- Click Next to continue
Step 3: Add Your Address
- Enter your address in the search field, and it will autofill the details
- Important: Make sure the address matches the one on your ID document. If your billing address is different, update it to match your personal address on your ID
Step 4: Verify Your Identity with an ID Document
You have two options here:
Instant Verification (Recommended):
- Select the country that issued your ID
- Choose your document type (passport, driving licence, or ID card)
- Make sure your document matches the personal information you've entered
- Scan the QR code (or get the link via SMS) with your phone and take clear photos of the document for immediate verification
Manual Verification:
- Select your document type
- Upload clear photos of your document from your computer (make sure they're high quality)
- Click Next to submit. Please allow up to 72 hours for verification
Step 5: Verify Your Payout Details
- Ensure your bank account matches the name you provided in the previous step
- Choose one of these two options for verification:
Instant Verification:
- Select your online banking provider
- Log into your bank account through Tink (our trusted partner). Your login info is never stored — it's just used for verification
Manual Verification:
- Enter your bank details and upload a recent bank document (within the last 12 months). The document must show your name, IBAN, and for non-EU residents, the bank location
- Click Next to submit
- Verification may take up to 72 hours
Step 6: Verify Sole Proprietor or Sole Trader Details
If you're a sole proprietor, freelancer, or sole trader, provide these details:
- Your business legal name (as it appears on official registration documents)
- Registration number (or indicate if you don't have one)
- Enter your business address (make sure it matches your legal address)
Step 7: Sign the Service Agreement
- Review the service agreement from our payment provider, Adyen
- Once you're ready, click Sign at the bottom to complete this step
Step 8: Complete Verification
- If you used Instant Verification, your account status should update right away
- If you used Manual Verification, allow up to 72 hours. You can track the status of your verification in your Holidu account. The status will change from "In Review" to "Complete" once finished
Tips for a Smooth Verification Process
- Ensure Clarity: Make sure your photos and documents are clear, well-lit, and fully visible
- Stay Consistent: Ensure the information on all your documents matches — especially names and addresses
- Monitor Your Email: We may need to contact you with updates or additional steps, so keep an eye on your inbox
