How to activate or deactivate Holidu Protect

Holidu Protect provides comprehensive coverage for your holiday rental property. You can activate or deactivate this protection individually for each of your properties directly from your Holidu Host account.

Activating Holidu Protect

Follow these steps to enable Holidu Protect for your property:

Step 1: Access Property Configuration

Log in to your Holidu Host account and navigate to the property configuration of the holiday home you want to protect.

Step 2: Open Pricing & Protection Settings

Click on Pricing & Protection in the property settings menu.

In the section labeled "Protect your Property," click the Configure button.

Step 3: Review and Accept Terms

Read through the Holidu Protect information carefully to understand the coverage details and benefits.

Accept the Terms & Conditions by checking the confirmation box.

Step 4: Activate Holidu Protect

Click on the Activate Holidu Protect button to enable the protection for your property.

You will receive a confirmation message indicating that Holidu Protect has been successfully activated for your property.

What Happens After Activation

After confirming activation, Holidu Protect becomes immediately active for all future bookings at that property. If you have security deposits in place, they will be automatically deactivated to avoid duplicate coverage.

Deactivating Holidu Protect

You can deactivate Holidu Protect at any time by following the same steps as above. Instead of clicking Activate Holidu Protect, you will see a Deactivate option if the protection is currently active. This gives you full flexibility to manage your protection settings according to your needs.

  • You have complete control: activate or deactivate Holidu Protect for each property independently
  • Changes take effect immediately for all future bookings
  • No paperwork or manual updates are required
  • The process takes just a few clicks in your Holidu Host account
  • If you have existing security deposits, they will be deactivated when you activate Holidu Protect
