Holidu Professional Photography Service
Holidu offers a free professional photography service designed to enhance your listing with expert-quality images. This service helps showcase your property in the best possible way to attract more bookings.
Service Availability
The professional photography service is only available in Focus Regions. In certain areas, the service may not be available. Availability depends on photographer coverage in the specific geographic area. Not all properties are automatically eligible.
If you're interested in the professional photography service, check if your property location qualifies by reviewing the coverage areas in your host dashboard.
Important Information About Professional Photos
- Photos taken by Holidu professionals are not reviewed before they go live on your listing. Our photography team selects and orders them based on channel performance data.
- All hosts, including those with professional Holidu photos, can fully manage their galleries and make changes as needed.
- Holidu keeps a backup of all professional photos. If you delete a photo by mistake, you can contact the Assistant to request restoration.
- Professional photos are the property of Holidu and are not available for purchase by hosts.
Uploading Your Own Photos
In addition to or instead of professional photography, you can upload your own photos to your property gallery. Follow these guidelines to ensure your images are effective and meet platform requirements:
Photo Quality Guidelines
- Use good lighting to capture the best shots of your property.
- Use wide angles to capture the full scope of rooms and outdoor spaces.
- Ensure photos are in landscape orientation.
- Upload at least 10 photos to create a comprehensive gallery.
- Minimum resolution: 1,024 × 768 pixels.
- Recommended resolution: 2,000 pixels on the long edge for high-quality images across all channels.
Supported File Formats
Holidu supports the following image formats: JPG, PNG, HEIC/HEIF, WebP, TIFF, and AVIF. Videos are not supported; only static images can be uploaded. Ensure your files are within the platform's file-size limits.
Gallery Organization Tips
- The first photo in your gallery is used as the main display image across partner channels and search results.
- Gallery order significantly affects booking performance. Place your highest-quality, well-lit photos at the beginning of your gallery.
- Arrange photos in a logical flow that showcases your property effectively (for example: exterior, main living areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, amenities).
- Highlight unique features and special amenities early in your gallery to capture guest interest.
How to Add, Delete, and Reorder Photos
Managing your property photos is straightforward. Follow these steps to update your gallery:
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Log in to your Holidu host account and select the property you want to edit.
- Click the Photos tab in the property navigation bar.
- To add new photos: Click Add Photo and upload images from your device. If using the Holidu app, allow Holidu to access images from your phone first.
- To delete a photo: Click on the photo you want to remove and select Delete, then confirm your action. Note that Holidu keeps a backup of all photos, so deleted images can be restored upon request through the Assistant.
- To reorder photos: Click and hold a photo, drag it to the desired position in your gallery, and drop it.
- Click Save changes after making any edits to ensure your updates take effect immediately.

To maximize your property's appeal and booking potential:
- Update your photos seasonally to show your property in its best light throughout the year.
- Keep your gallery fresh by periodically adding new images that highlight different aspects of your property.
- Ensure consistency in photo quality and style across your entire gallery.
