How do I update or edit my listing's information?

You can update most of your listing details yourself, directly from your Holidu account on the website or in the Holidu Host app. This guide explains which information you can edit independently and how to keep your listing accurate and appealing to guests.

Information you can update independently

Pricing

  • Seasons and pricing: Set your nightly and weekend prices, including minimum stay requirements, check-in and check-out days, and availability.

Discounts

  • Configure the discounts you wish to apply to guests.

General information

  • Information about the property: Update your property name, type, surface area, floor level, and rating.
  • Capacity and rooms: Change your property type, guest capacity, rooms, and bed setup. Your declared guest capacity cannot exceed what your configured beds can sleep. For example, one king-size bed sleeps 2 people, and two bunk beds sleep 4 people. When configuring bedrooms, please consider local regulations, such as requirements for an enclosed room with a window and defined minimum area.
  • Legal requirements: Add or update your licence number and cadastral number.

Amenities

Add or update the amenities at your property, including Wi-Fi, pool, bed linens, towels, pet access, and appliances. To mark an amenity as available, it must be offered at all times. You can add a cost where the field allows it; otherwise, the amenity is offered free to guests. For costs that depend on specific requests, mention them in your property description without stating the exact amount, as distribution channels do not allow that.

Additional charges and protection

Add any extra fees you wish to apply, such as cleaning fees, deposits, extra guest fees, city taxes, line charges, and towel fees.

Arrival and departure information

  • Check-in and check-out times: Customize your property's check-in and check-out hours. These are the times when you guarantee someone will be present or a lockbox will be available to welcome guests free of charge.
  • Advance notice: Set the minimum amount of time guests must book in advance. You can choose from options ranging from "Same day by 3 p.m." to "Up to 3 days before" check-in.
  • Check-in methods: Select your preferred check-in approach.
  • Check-in details: Update who is responsible for check-in, your check-in method, and arrival instructions. Please notify any guests with existing bookings about these changes.
  • Check-in contact details: Add the name, phone number, and email address of the person responsible for check-in.

Collaborators

Add a collaborator to help you manage your listing by giving them access to your account.

Calendar synchronization

If your property is listed on another booking channel, sync your calendars to prevent double bookings using iCal and calendar sync features.

Title and description

Whenever you update a service or detail, update your description to match. Generate a new description and adjust it to reflect the latest changes. This keeps your listing accurate and appealing to guests. You can edit your description at any time. For step-by-step guidance, see Generating your property description.

Photo management

You can manage your photo gallery yourself, including both your own photos and those taken by Holidu's professional photographers. See How to manage your photos.

Address

You can update your property address if needed. See How to edit your address.

Important considerations

  • Changes to descriptions, amenities, and photos are visible to guests after review or immediately, depending on the field.
  • Some major updates, such as changes to prices or policies, may impact your search ranking or guest experience.
  • Photo management now gives hosts self-service control of their property photos, including images from Holidu's professional photography.
  • Always check the guest-facing preview to confirm the information is accurate.

Best practices

  • Keep your calendar, photos, amenities, and contact details up to date to support more bookings and a better guest experience.
  • Use detailed, accurate property and room descriptions to set the right expectations.
  • Review your pricing, policies, and charges regularly, especially before high and low seasons.
  • Remember that local market knowledge is built into Holidu's pricing recommendations and product, but you stay in control of your prices, calendar, and the details that make your listing unique.
