Why Connect Your Property to AVS Germany?

Connecting your property to AVS Germany is essential for legal compliance and streamlined operations. This integration ensures that your guest information is accurately reported to the relevant authorities, helping you maintain regulatory compliance while creating a secure environment for both you and your guests.

Important note: AVS integration is currently available only in the regions of Sellin, Glowe, and Hesse.

How to Connect Your Property?

Follow these simple steps to get your property connected to AVS:

Step 1: Access Your Account Settings

In your Holidu App, click on the Holidu Logo and select the "Account" section. Look for "Configure" under the "Online guest registration" section.

Step 2: Select Your Property

You will see a list of your properties. Click the "Configure" button next to the property you wish to connect to AVS.

Step 3: Fill Out the Configuration Form

Complete the corresponding form with the following actions:

  • Check the option "Activate automatic sending to the authority"
  • Ensure that AVS is selected as your authority
  • Fill out the form with your AVS credentials
  • If you need help finding your AVS credentials, click on "Where to find those credentials" for guidance

Step 4: Validate Your Connection

Click on the "Validate" button to verify your AVS credentials and connection settings.

Step 5: Confirm Successful Connection

If no error message appears, your property is now successfully connected to AVS.

Step 6: Configure Guest Categories

Scroll down the page to configure the names of your guest categories. Guests will see and be able to select these categories when completing their online check-in.

Step 7: Enable Guest Card (Optional)

If you want to offer guest cards to your guests, activate the guest card option on this page.

Step 8: Save Your Changes

Click "Save changes" to apply all your configuration settings.

Step 9: Verify Active Connection

Close the pop-up. You will then see that the connection status shows "Active," confirming that your property is successfully connected to AVS Germany.

What if I can't remember my AVS Germany credentials?

You can recover your account or reset your password by visiting the AVS Germany website. Follow their account recovery process to regain access to your credentials, then return to the Holidu configuration page to complete your setup.

Is the connection secure?

Yes, the connection between Holidu and AVS Germany is completely secure. We use top-tier encryption technology and follow industry best practices to keep your data safe and protect your guests' information.

Can I connect multiple properties to AVS?

Yes, if you have multiple properties in the available regions (Sellin, Glowe, or Hesse), you can connect each one individually by following the same steps and selecting each property from the list in Step 2.

What happens after I activate the automatic sending?

Once you activate automatic sending, guest information from online check-ins will be automatically transmitted to the AVS authorities. You do not need to submit this information manually.

What regions support AVS integration?

Currently, AVS integration through Holidu is available in three regions: Sellin, Glowe, and Hesse in Germany. Check if your property location is in one of these regions before attempting to set up the connection.

How do I customize guest categories?

After successfully validating your AVS connection in Step 4, scroll down to find the guest category configuration section. Here you can rename the default categories to match your property's specific guest classification system. These customized names will appear when guests complete their online check-in.

Can I deactivate the AVS connection later?

Yes, you can return to the configuration page at any time and uncheck the "Activate automatic sending to the authority" option. This will stop the automatic transmission of guest information to AVS while keeping your configuration saved.
