Online Check-in - How to Connect to Alloggiati Web
If you're a holiday rental host in Italy, you're legally required to report guest information to the local police within 24 hours of arrival. Holidu's integrated guest check-in feature helps you meet this requirement efficiently. This guide will walk you through connecting your property to Alloggiati Web, the official platform managed by the Italian State Police.
Understanding Italian Guest Registration Requirements
Under Article 109 of the Consolidated Law on Public Security, all accommodation providers in Italy—including short-term rental hosts—must report guest details electronically via the Alloggiati Web portal. This legal requirement applies to all types of accommodations.
What Information Must You Collect?
For the main guest, you must collect and report:
- Full name
- Date of birth
- Nationality
- Passport or ID number
- Date of arrival
- Place of birth
Additional guests must provide basic personal information (full name, date of birth, and nationality), but document numbers are not required for them.
Important: Document Verification
You are required to verify the identification of your guests in person at check-in. Only one guest per booking needs to provide their identification document type and number. This means your guestbook will display complete document information for only one guest per booking, while document fields for others will appear empty. You can download guestbooks for your records at any time through the Holidu platform.
How Holidu Supports Your Compliance
Holidu's online check-in feature automates much of this process by:
- Collecting guest information automatically before arrival through a secure check-in link
- Simplifying data transfer to Alloggiati Web to reduce manual entry
- Notifying you if mandatory information is missing to help reduce compliance risks
While Holidu facilitates data collection, please note that you must manually upload the final guest details via the Alloggiati Web portal.
